Quando vi os comentários referente ao livro, me empolguei porque imaginei que seria esplêndido.
Mas me decepcionei um pouco, principalmente do meio do livro até o final.
Parecia que a estória não andava.
Ela largou tudo aqui no Brasil para conseguir um emprego e se estabilizar em Londres.
Tinha tudo para dar certo, mas aí ela encontra Stravos, um empresário sem vergonha e sem escrúpulos.
Então, ela toma uma decisão de não deixar as coisas como estão, o assédio moral e sexual que sofreu foi levado até a última instância para o tribunal em Londres.
O tema é bem contado, realmente vergonhoso tudo que aconteceu com ela e não dá para imaginar que em outro país tenha esse tipo de situação. Sempre imaginamos que na Europa tudo funciona né?
Acredito que ela passou poucas e boas e ainda bem que tudo deu certo e acredito que Deus a ajudou muito. Ela estava sozinha, família longe, ainda bem que tinha amigos espetaculares. Mas em certas situações, como a estória era contada com ricos detalhes perdeu um pouco a essência, parecia que as 518 páginas não acabavam mais, até me cansei de ler.
Por isso achei um pouco cansativo, talvez porque sou ansiosa e quisesse ver logo o final da estória e Stravos derrotado.
Poderia ser mais objetivo, mas para quem gosta de um “suspense” e muitos detalhes, a autora com certeza prenderá a atenção.
A mensagem do livro que ficou para mim é: você deve lutar pelos seus direitos e mostrar que a mulher tem seu papel de valor na sociedade e merece muito respeito.
